WV A.B.A.T.E. motorcycle news

Next Willamette Valley meeting - 3rd Thursday, Sept.18th, 2008 at The Sizzler Steakhouse on Gateway Blvd., right by the Gateway Post Office. Meeting starts at 7:00 pm. Get there early if you plan to eat one their good dinners. Hey, it is even quieter there so we can hear each other. We will start nominating next years chapter officers and also look into ideas for actvities to raise funds for the group as well as socialize next year. Also note that the October meeting will focus on activities and events for next year, so bring some ideas and let's rock & roll.

This Saturday, September 6th, in Salem Public Library BikePAC of Oregon will have its scheduled meeting for September. The meeting will be held in the Plaza room. This is a very important meeting. The future of our political actions and the future of BikePAC itself may be decided at this meeting. Due to lack of interest from our motorcycling friends, BikePAC's efforts are going largely unnoticed at the legislative level.

We need your input to help determine if BikePAC should continue to fight for biker's rights or to just fold our tents and slink away. Those of us who have been at the forefront of this fight for the last twenty five years are getting tired and are losing our enthusiasm for fighting for bikers who could not care less about laws that restrict our right to ride freely.

Please make a real effort to attend this meeting this Saturday and let us know if you support our efforts of if you don't.

We moved our Chapter meetings to the Sizzler Steakhouse on Gateway Blvd. just north of the gateway Post Office. Plenty of motorcycle parking, good food and beverage, and quiet enough to hear each other. Thank you to Roaring Rapids for letting us use their location for so long.

If you or someone you know has been denied insurance benefits as the result of it being related to motorcycle activities the State needs to hear from you. Please contact us or BikePac with any pertinent information concerning denials.
